Macbeth

Woodville Auditorium, Gravesend

Calling all English GCSE students, teachers, and literature lovers!

Dickens Theatre Company proudly presents Macbeth, Shakespeare’s bloodiest and most thrilling tragedy, arriving at The Woodville in March 2026.

In this unique adaptation, the infamous Porter takes on the role of narrator, guiding audiences through the tangled web of ambition, betrayal, and dark magic. An ensemble of just 6 actors conjures a cauldron of characters, bringing the Scottish Play vividly to life.

Set against a backdrop of war, witchery, and treason, Macbeth remains chillingly relevant in the 21st century.

Adapted & directed by Ryan Philpott. Music by Paul Higgs

“What’s done cannot be undone!”

As part of DTC’s highly acclaimed Revision on Tour (alongside Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde), this accessible Macbeth entertains and educates to the bitter end.

Post-matinee Q&A session with the cast & director available upon request.
