Jack Bowden Headlines: ft Madison Brown & Stuart Cable

Mole Hole Micro Pub, High St., Gravesend

We’ve got a fantastic evening of live original music coming up at The Mole Hole, with three talented singer-songwriters bringing their own unique styles, stories and sounds.

From country-inspired melodies and heartfelt storytelling to jazzy piano grooves and cheeky acoustic songs, there’s something for everyone.

Doors: 5pm

7:00–7:30pm – Madison Brown
Madison is a country-inspired singer-songwriter whose heartfelt originals and modern country influences create performances full of warmth, honesty and emotion. Inspired by artists including Lainey Wilson, Elizabeth Nicols and Taylor Swift, Madison combines an expressive voice with a natural gift for storytelling. Her songs are personal, relatable and full of heart, while her engaging stage presence makes every performance feel authentic and memorable.

8:00–8:30pm – Stuart Cable
After spending decades putting music on the back-burner, Stuart Cable is proof that it’s never too late to chase what you love. Inspired by Ray Charles, Radiohead and Bob Dylan, he writes piano-led songs full of melody, heart and the occasional midlife revelation.

With his incredible keyboard skills, Stuart captivates an audience, bringing his songs to life with warmth, wit and plenty of musical flair. At his Underground Grooves slot at The Mole Hole in July, he wowed us with his catchy, jazzy original “Gravesend Town” — a brilliant musical tribute to the place we call home.

9:00–10:00pm – Jack Bowden
Jack Bowden is a singer-songwriter from Southeast Kent. His songs often contain humorous elements mixed with heart-wrenching storytelling. Jack’s passion for lyric writing is obvious throughout his music, with a unique ability to play with words in a way that is both clever and accessible.

Performing with his nylon-string guitar, which gives his set an almost Spanish feel, Jack brings an energy level that is unmatched. Cheeky yet heartfelt, you’ll be smiling throughout!

"A Very Original, Great Singer/Songwriter!" - Kent Folk on BBC Radio Kent

From foot-stomping folk to heartfelt ballads to historical commentary and story telling, Nick draws from the well of traditional and contemporary folk to compose his songs. His compositions evoke images of centuries gone by, be that wassailing in the winter, the re-telling of Viking raids in Kent, or spurned love.

Heavily influenced by Bob Dylan, Kate Rusby, Billy Bragg, The Levellers, and traditional folk music, his songwriting has been likened to the late David Cousins (The Strawbs), and Frank Turner.

In July 2025, Nick returned from Ely Folk Festival where he was one of the winners of their Spotlight Competition.
