Gravesham Choral Society - Become a member
Wednesdays, from 7.15 - 9pm
Do you enjoy singing? Would you like to meet up with other singers once a week for the challenge of mastering new choral works? Are you free for just two hours on a Wednesday evening? Would you enjoy performing to others?
If so, do join us in Gravesham Choral Society, a large, friendly, non-auditioning choir.
We sing a wide range of choral works, both sacred and secular, from the much-loved Fauré’s Requiem to a jazz mass by modern composer Bob Chilcott. We are proud to be joined by professional soloists and musicians in our three main concerts and our Christmas concert is especially popular with our audiences, who join in enthusiastically with seasonal favourites. An audience member at our most recent concert described it as the ‘best concert he had ever been to!’.
On January 4th 2023, we begin rehearsing Mozart’s magnificent Great Mass in C Minor for a concert in April, followed later in the year by the ever-popular, dramatic cantata Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. We warmly welcome singers in all voices. We rehearse at Northfleet School for Girls in Gravesend in term times, on Wednesdays, from 7.15 - 9pm.
