Spoken Word Open Mic Night - Third Sunday of every month

This month Holy Moly welcomes the fabulous Charlotte Ansell. Charlotte's poetry is sincere, beautiful and deeply felt, and we are looking forward to hearing from her latest collection. Here's some more about Charlotte, in her own words:

Charlotte Ansell has four poetry collections published by Flipped Eye; her third, Deluge was a 2019 PBS Winter recommendation and her fourth Amittere was released in December 2025. Charlotte has been published widely in magazines and anthologies and received an RSL Literature Matters Award in 2020.

Before Charlotte, we'll have our regular open mic. No need to sign up in advance, just turn up and sign up on the day. All styles and genres accepted - poetry, spoken word, short stories or anything else. Entry is free, but you can support us by buying an optional ticket.
