Holy Moly featuring Philip Kane

The Mole Hole Micro Pub 17 High Street, Gravesend, DA11 0BA UK

Spoke Word Open Mic Night - Third Sunday of every month

Holy Moly is delighted to welcome Philip Kane to our stage this July. Phil is always a pleasure to listen to, whether sharing classic stories of the Middle East, or his own poetry, which mixes history, humour, the political and the esoteric.

Phil will be closing out the evening, but before that, we'll have our regular open mic sections. Read your poetry, spoken word work, short stories, manifestos and soforth. No need to book, sign up on the night -

Here's some more about Phil:
Philip Kane is an award winning writer, storyteller in the oral tradition, and artist based in the Medway Towns. He is a founding member of the London Surrealist Group. Philip has been writing and performing since the mid 1980s. Widely published in journals and anthologies, his work has been translated into French, Spanish and Arabic. He is currently a regular contributor to the international journal A Beautiful Resistance. Philip's books include The Wildwood King and Dramatis Personae; and his most recent poetry collection, The Decipherment of Nature, was published by Sul Books in February.

Entry to Holy Moly is free but you can support us by buying an optional
